For those of you that have lost a child I send my love and compassion to each of you. The road out of the darkness is long and hard, but everyday find something that brings light into your life…..a child smiling, a beautiful flower, the hug of a friend, a precious memory.
Slowly light trickles into your life again. This is so important for the connection you want to continue with your child that has transitioned. Your child is still connected to you and seeing you in darkness keeps them from growing and connecting with those family members that are still in the physical world. Darkness attracts darkness. Light attracts light.
I send you my light.
“We are on an endless journey through eternity. We have lifetime after lifetime. What we don’t work out in one life, we work out in another. There is no death. Our spirit can never be taken from us for it is the part of us that is eternal. No argument can take it from us. No dis-ease can take it from us. No loss of relationship can take it from us. No death can take it from us for spirit is eternal. It is the part of us that goes on forever. All the people we know who have left the planet are still here in pure essence and pure spirit. They always have been, they are now, and they always will be. It is true that we will not connect with their physical bodies again, but when we leave our bodies, our spirit will connect. There is no loss. There is no death. There is only a cycling and recycling of energies—a changing of form. When we connect with our spirit, we go beyond all petty things. Our understanding is so great. Our spirit, our soul, the very essence of who we are is always safe, always secure and always alive. And so it is.”
Written after the passing of her friend Dr, Wayne Dyer
Lora, It has been many months since I picked up Erika’s book because I was so sad after reading it. She was such a special person. But something drew me to it last night, because I was thinking of her passing around this time, that I thought to pick up the book again. This time I read her blog and laughed and laughed about so many things she wrote about. I realized as time has passed that God puts very special people on earth for just a short time because they are here to teach us very important things about life. Erika was that person. She taught us to laugh in the face of adversity, be courageous and brave and to appreciate the time we have no matter how short. She taught us to accept the love and support of our family, friends and even strangers wanting to help. She touched so many lives and made every one a better person. You must be so very proud of this wonderful person you brought into this world and that her writings still help and touch a lot of lives. I will now go to that book in time of need to remember that life is always worth living, to live it with humor and love and to always help people in their time of need. I want to thank you for making sure this book got published.
“Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul, there is no separation.
This website and blog were established to connect people who are currently or have experienced life threatening illness or the loss of a loved one. My daughter, Erika, passed after a short, valiant battle with a very rare cancer. Her strength, determination, faith and love were extraordinary. I have published her blogs that she had written to keep family and friends up to date as she began her journey into the world of ‘cancer’. Her humor during such a difficult time and her love of life will inspire everyone. She was truly an inspiration to everyone that knew her. Her blog quickly went viral as her story touched people around the world. I will share some of the comments and loving messages that people have left in regard to Erika and what her life meant to so many.
Blessings and love to you all.
